Remember: we all get what we tolerate

During the last couple of years I have had the privilege of helping dozens of people from all walks of life, from all corners of the earth.

My impression is that sometimes people present low-level problems because they engage themselves with little problems that are made into big things so they don’t deal with the bigger ones that scare them.

This is not a sustainable way to deal with our lives. It could be manageable right now but the accumulation of that, the friction of that in your life, long-term, could be totally destructive.

Remember we all get what we tolerate. Sometimes we stay in jobs we hate, we stay in toxic relationships, we make decisions based on fear (not joy) and we are satisfied with being a doormat for the world.

Let me tell you something: it doesn’t have to be like this.

The controlling forces that control everything are: all your thoughts, all your feelings, all your emotions, all your beliefs and values.

It’s essential to your personal evolution to evaluate these forces on a regular basis to align your life with your core values.

Your core values are the guiding principles of your life that help you to determine your behaviour, words, and actions.  Living in harmony with your core values creates a fertile environment for happiness, peace of mind, and success, because you are living authentically without confusion, guilt or shame. Even small, incremental changes to align your life with your values will create a positive shift in your feelings and attitude.

When you feel deep in your heart that you do the right thing. This level of authenticity will lead you to a rich and fulfilling life.

You can have the life you want, the way you deserve it. Sculpt yourself into what you are capable of being as opposed to whatever life and circumstance has provided you the opportunity to show up as. Instead of life leading you astray, take control and lead your life back on track.

As a Life Coach, I really love to see people light up. This happens when they realise they own their selves again and can see how to become the very best they can possibly be. The happiest they can be.

I don’t believe people really feel fulfilled staying where they are. Life should never be static. Change is refreshing and keeps sparks alight. The purpose of life is growth. Progress equals happiness.

Personal, social, emotional or spiritual growth leads to feeling happier in your life. You give a better version of you to your children, to your wife, to your parents, to your friends, to your colleagues.

Sometimes in life we want to make changes but something seems to holds us back. So be honest with yourself and ask:

  • What is an extraordinary life for you?

  • Do you have a dream that should be your reality by now?

  • Are you hungry for growth?

  • Are you ready to uncover who you really are and what you’re really about at this stage in your life?

Today I invite you to take the first step. To live life to the fullest—to make your life how YOU want it to be.

If you are still reading these words it’s because you really want to make a positive change in your life. Right here, right now! This is the moment you stop hesitating…stop holding back and show up fully for what you want. The moment you say YES to YOU.

YOU have the power to change anything. YOU are the one who chooses your thoughts and YOU are the one who feels your feelings. YOU are the creator of YOUR LIFE.

Change is a constant part of our lives and it happens whether you welcome it or fight against it. You have to only examine your life in the previous six or twelve months to see changes, maybe small and subtle or big and spectacular, some things improving, some things not and you don’t have to be clairvoyant to see that the same process lies ahead of you. The important point is how to make the process of change work beneficially for your rather than counterproductively.

Ray of Light’s Coaching Programmes are designed to empower Businesses, Organisations and Individuals by putting YOU in the drivers seat in the face of change.

What can you do being stuck at home during the coronavirus outbreak?

Brussels 2014 082.jpg

The best thing you can do during these difficult times being stuck at home is to talk to the one that is inside you. To connect with yourself now that you don’t have all the distractions we normally have everyday.

This is the best moment to meditate. To practice gratitude. We all have many things to be grateful for in our lives; the love of our loved ones, our health, one more day of life on this beautiful planet, listening to the birds singing, looking at the sky in the morning or the stars at night, to feel the sun on our face, on our skin (even through a window), to hear our children tells that they love us, to see their smiles and hear their giggles.

Many people feel lonely in these times. The worst solitude is the one we have inside us. Make friends with yourselfEnjoy your own company. We can always relive happy moments when we remember them. Even with loved ones that are no longer with us.

If you love life, then ask yourself how you want to spend your life. Do we spend it paying bills, buying things we don’t really need or in actually living it? If you love life then spend it really living life to the fullest.

And what is living? It’s trying to feel happy. It’s to spend most of our time doing the things that make us feel alive, things that gratify us with out causing harm to others. Remember that life has an expiration day. Let’s use this precious time to reconnect with ourselves. As long as you have a reason to live and to fight for your dreams you will find a way to move forward. We all are going to leave this world at some point. What we take with us and what we leave behind for our loved ones are memories of how we lived. That is why we should make the most of our limited time in this beautiful world to make our lives extraordinary.

The enforced lockdown offers each and every one of you a unique opportunity to reconnect with your love ones, to learn to connect with yourself and to reflect on your life. Where you have been and where you are going. To learn, to grow and to improve. Every day is truly a gift so don’t waste it. Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.

LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST. MAKE IT A MASTERPIECE.
